Technical Academy of Max Weber-Programme, 6.-13. September 2019, Monastery Roggenburg
Prof. Dr. Rolf Wanka led the working group “Industry and Technology in the Ancient and Failure of the Industrial Revolution” at the 1st Technical Academy of Max Weber-Programme of the Bavarian Elite Network. The Academy took place from 6th to 13th September 2019 in the Monastery Roggenburg, close to Neu-Ulm.
The 13 talks of the participants – all being scholarship holders of Max Weber-Programme and the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes – gave an interesting overview of the status of the art and technology in the ancient presenting economical, religious and philosophical explanatory approaches why no sustainable industrialization could develop.
