In recognition of the outstanding cooperation and his many years of commitment, Dr. Frank Hannig was honored with the IAESTE A.s.b.l. Employer Award. The “International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience” (IAESTE) is an international non-profit organization for the placement of interns. The Chair of Hardware/Software Co-Design has offered international students internships through the IAESTE program for many years. The chair can look back on many young people worldwide, including Brazil, Ecuador, Ghana, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Jordan, Colombia, Poland, Syria, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, and the USA. For both sides, each 8- to 12-week internship is always again an exciting exchange of experience, both technically through the work on a small project in the field of embedded electronic systems and culturally.
